The beginning of the restoration of the Shrine of Asiago is slated for 2018

Lest we forget. In the year of the commemoration of the centenary of the first world war will begin the work of restoration of the military shrine of Asiago.

The latter, planned by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, provide for a contribution of 3 million and 800 thousand euros destined to complete installation of the monument erected in memory of the fallen of the conflict of 1915-1918.

"I can only express the sincerest satisfaction for this important intervention aimed at giving a new life to the Sacrario Militare del Leiten -commented the Mayor of Asiago, Roberto Rigoni Stern -. THE STORY

The War Memorial, which is located near the village asiaghese on the Hill Leiten betting there 1,058 is accessed via a straight roads named Avenue of Heroes. TECHNICAL NOTES

The Shrine is State-owned property of the State and depends on the General Commissariat Funeral to war dead.

It is open weekdays except Monday from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., and at 17, and 14 public holidays from 9 a.m. to 13.
