NEW CONCESSION OF "SPORTS VOUCHERS" TO RESIDENTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROANA
In the autumn of 2021, following the persistence of the COVID emergency that had caused long interruptions in school and sports activities, thus compromising proper sociality among the minors involved in the restrictions imposed by the virus containment rules, the Municipality of Roana had launched an initiative to promote sport, individual and group.
The action promoted was that of the delivery, to each resident minor who had requested it through the family or to disabled people up to 26 years, of a sports voucher worth € 150.00 to also meet expenses that in many cases the families had already faced, such as registrations and taxes or purchase of technical material for activities interrupted or never started.
Also in view of a return to normal activities there was and is now the intention to support, encourage and promote sporting activity, also in favor of young people and disabled people who did not practice it, through the use of tools that economically help the identified user groups.
Considering the success of the first initiative that saw the involvement of about 140 beneficiaries, it was therefore decided to re-propose this action by going to fully use the sums made available by the emergency measures for the sports sector dedicated to the Municipality of Roana.
Each minor and every disabled person up to the age of 26 residing in the Municipality of Roana who requests it, will then be given a sports voucher to be used at the Adhering Amateur Sports Associations (ASD) and which will guarantee an economic "credit" for a value that will be determined after the expiry of the delivery deadline of all the applications received, deadline 15 June 2022.
The forms for the request, access to the service and any other information will be available as soon as possible on the website of the Municipality of Roana www.comune.roana.vi.it, at the ASD that have already collaborated in the first initiative, at the Sports Office of the Municipality of Roana or the IAT (tourist chalet) of Treschè Conca.
"I am sure that this action, which as a Municipal Administration we strongly wanted to propose for our young people in the sports sector, is an initiative that brings the Public Administration closer to citizens by promoting sociality and psychophysical well-being in an extremely difficult and complicated moment for all of us. The granting of "good sport" will certainly not solve the great problems we are facing in recent months, but I am sure that it is an important sign of support and closeness to our young people and their families", said the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Sport Christian Vellar.
