STATEMENT OF THE REGIONAL SECRETARIAT CAI VENETO.
With each passing day manifest themselves throughout their range the serious damage caused by bad weather in the mountains of the Veneto and beyond. Centers, major and minor roads, mule tracks and paths are affected by slumping, rockfalls, landslides and fallen trees.
A quick reconnaissance of the mountain rescue team made in Belluno has highlighted how the path network is severely compromised, especially for the fall of thousands of trees that prevent the enjoyment in safety.
The whole Belluno area is seriously affected but also Trentino and South Tyrol. The criticality is greatest in the Agordino, Comelico and Cadore, Zoldano in, but also the nearby valli del Primiero.
The Asiago Section has informed us that in the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni all forest roads and trails are practically impassable for fall plants.
Therefore it is recommended for all structures CAI and individual members, especially of plain, not travel nor hiking in the mountains.
We leave the road as much as possible freedom for the movement of relief, security forces and all those who are engaged in damage control and recovery.
All the more, don't venture into paths, risking our lives and the lives of others.
We ask you to spread as much as possible this appeal to members, friends, acquaintances: is the least we can do at this time in a sign of solidarity for our mountain know exactly which one.
