Returns the award dedicated to multilingual literature of the Alps and linked to the figure of the great writer of Asiago Mario Rigoni Stern. The jury will evaluate the works by important names of the culture of our country.
The presentation of the works is possible until 28 February 2019.

Was posted on the notice for the 2019 Edition of the Premio Mario Rigoni Stern for Multilingual literature delle Alpi, established in 2011 with the intent to honor the memory of the writer plateau, perpetuating the values of brotherhood among peoples, respect for the environment and humanity alpina that inspire all his works.
The books – both fiction and non-fiction, dedicated to the Alps, to their landscape and their people, written in any of the languages spoken in the Alps – must be received by 28 February in 7 copies to the Secretary of the jury of the prize Mario Rigoni Stern c/o Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina, via Mach 2 – 38010 San Michele all'Adige (TN).
To test for them will be a jury composed by sociologist Ilvo Diamanti, by writer and journalist Marco Albino Ferrari, lecturer, translator and essayist Paola Filippi and Mario Isnenghi, historian under the coordination of the journalist Margherita Danish.
Marco Albino Ferrari-former Director of the monthly "Alp", then founder and Director for 16 years of the magazine "Meridiani Montagne", "La Stampa" contributor and author of theatrical monologues, as well as volumes on the themes and characters of the mountain published by Einaudi , Feltrinelli, Laterza, Rizzoli and Ponte alle Grazie-expands on the jury the journalist and writer Paul Rumiz, who will continue to work with the Organizing Committee in selecting the winner of the Guardian of the Ark – Osvaldo Dongilli, intended to people who have distinguished themselves in the defense and promotion of the mountain.
Last year the jury examined 54 volumes, also from France, Austria and Germany, giving the victory to "the adventures of prime number", by Marco Paolini and Gianfranco Bettin (Einaudi).
This year the award ceremony will take place in two phases, at Palazzo Labia in Venice, on the morning of 15 June, and Asiago al Teatro Eliseo, on the morning of June 16, the day when we remember the writer's disappearance, which occurred in 2008.
The prize this year can also count on the accession of two new members, the Group Itas of Trento and the firm Rigoni di Asiago, entering the Committee with two representatives, respectively Danilo Zanoni and Maurizio Zovi.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE COMPETITION
Art. 1 – MARIO RIGONI STERN Award for MULTILINGUAL LITERATURE is born to promote the development of multilingual cultural context that refers to the Alps, promoting a competition of merit between fiction and non-fiction devoted to the Alps, to the their landscape and their people. Established with the intent to honor the memory of Mario Rigoni Stern and his work, the award aims to perpetuate the values of brotherhood among peoples, respect for the environment and humanity.
Art. 2 – The competition is open to works of fiction and non-fiction. The nomination can be proposed by publishers, authors or right holders
JURY AND PRIZES
Art. 3 – the jury will choose its own a President, who will direct the work, and will make use of a Secretary, appointed by the Organizing Committee, for the coordination and drafting of acts. The decision of the jury is final. The jury comprised of 5 (five) persons will be appointed by the Organising Committee and composed of authoritative exponents of the cultural and scientific world. You'll benefit from the assistance of recognized experts for languages and subjects which do not fall within its competence.
Art. 4 – "Premio Mario Rigoni Stern" is scheduled for 2019 in 10,000 (ten thousand) €. In the opinion of the jury will be awarded to the best work of fiction or the best essay. The jury may report meritorious works in number does not exceed three. The prize will be awarded at ceremonies scheduled for June 15 in Venice and the 16 June at Asiago, winner and reported are committed to participate.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Art. 5 – Are admitted to the examination of the jury works published (that is published on paper and with conventional numbering ISBN) by living authors, Alpine argument, in any of the languages spoken in the Alps including, without limitation and not limited to, French, Occitan, Franco-Provençal, Italian, German, Romansh, Ladin, Friulian, Slovenian, including local flavors with a conventional spelling. The texts must have been published within the previous two annual expiration date of the notice.
Art. 6 – the works must be received by the competition Secretariat by 28 February 2019.
Art. 7 – each work participant must be received in 7 copies, with attached note containing the data and the full address of the author, the Secretary of the jury of the prize Mario Rigoni Stern c/o Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina via Mach 2 – 38010 San Michele all'Adige (TN). Copies will not be returned.
Art. 8 – participation in the Prize implies the unconditional acceptance of these regulations.
