Press release of the Municipality of Roana of 4 May 2022
Project for the development of the use of the territory of the Municipality of Roana through excursions in pedal-assisted Mountain Bikes.
The Municipality of Roana in collaboration with the AsiagoGuide association intends to promote the territory with all its fractions, through a wide and exclusive proposal to encourage well-being by combining sport and tourist attractions present in each fraction of the Municipality.
In summer 2021, a first initiative had already been created with the use of e-bikes to discover little-known places and paths. The participation has received much appreciation, so much so that many of the users have returned to deepen the discovery of the territory.
This year the proposed offer becomes even more attractive through half-day or full-day excursions in nature in all the hamlets, also involving the Pro loco of the territory.
The exits will be composed as follows: 12 with pedal assistance (two per fraction), 12 at night and 36 on foot (6 per fraction), for a total of 60 excursions.
The project aims to enhance naturalistic and historical aspects, also adding an extra curiosity: astro-tourism.
In the daytime outings you can contemplate historical and naturalistic beauties and breathtaking views, through little-known and / or frequented roads and paths, promoting a more "Slow & Green" tourism through the development of Soft Mobility.
The night outings , on the other hand, are projected into dark places where light pollution will not be present in order to better observe the starry sky with stories related to the constellations, thus adhering to the European project "Skyscape".
Finally, we will try to enhance the theme park "SelvArt" for the hamlets of Roana and Mezzaselva using the new forest tracks; last but not least, the exits to make known the forest heritage, towards huts and woods far from the villages (eg "Bosco Secco" and others).
This enhancement project is aimed at young people and all those who want to discover for the first time or rediscover the Roanese territory in other aspects.
