Hoga Zait, the traditional Cimbrian festival of the Municipality of Roana, ended a few days ago and has also found a great success for this edition.
The organizers and administrators declare themselves satisfied, in particular the Councilor for Tourism and Culture Giulia Mosele: "I congratulate again and thank all the organizers, associations and volunteers for having been able to grasp for this 18 ^ edition, the true meaning of the event "Hoga Zait", making known to a wide audience our history through traditions, The Cimbrian customs and traditions that belonged to our ancestors, dealing with themes that can unite several generations, from children to adults to the elderly."
The proposed activities in fact, as mentioned by Councilor Mosele, were many and diversified, so as to be able to reach various ages:
Consuelo Morello's creative and cooking workshops for children; guided excursions and treasure hunts of Asiago Guides for families, young people and adults; theatrical and musical performances, in particular "Altaburg" by Pieragangelo Tamiozzo and "Zelighen Baiblen" curated by Moreno Corà, for everyone and finally the cultural evenings with the screening of short films, book presentations and historical conferences related to the world of Cimbri for adults and the elderly.
Councillor Cesare Azzolini added: "We were very satisfied with the result of the festival. Each day was dedicated to a different theme that is part of our history and Cimbrian culture. All the events, both entertainment and cultural, have received a great participation of the public and this means that the goal of disseminating and remembering many aspects of Cimbrian culture has been achieved. In addition to this, we have involved other linguistic islands such as Lessinia, Cansiglio and Luserna, with whom we have already had the opportunity to dialogue on the occasion of other meeting moments and their participation has been positive, since the more you can collaborate and team up, the more you can support the Cimbrian culture.
Finally I want to thank the organization for the great work done, the municipal offices, the Pro loco of the Municipality of Roana, all the volunteers and associations that participated in the festival, the Civil Protection of Roana and the Local Police."
In conclusion it can be said that " Hoga Zait" has become a festival for everyone, able to unite more people and communities, many families have become fond of this event and return every year to visit us for this special event.
The festival has always embraced and welcomed the linguistic islands scattered in different Italian territories and in the world. It is therefore hoped that, also for the future, there will be relations of brotherhood with different territories united by the sense of belonging to their own culture and roots, to accept and share their own and others' diversities that become acceptance of multiculturalism.
