The municipality of Roana has allocated 18 thousand euros to the restoration of the external painting and the arrangement of the fresco of the Saint

The Municipality of Roana has provided an extraordinary contribution of 18 thousand euros for the painting of the building and the arrangement of the frescoes of the Church of San Rocco.
The votive church, owned by the Parish "B. V. Immacolata di Cesuna", is located in Treschè Cesuna.
Born in the second half of the last century by the will of the local inhabitants who expressed the desire to have a place full of faith, charisma and above all created with the help of all, it had received a restyling thanks to a precious collaboration between the Parish of Cesuna and the Committee of the church.
The intervention concerned the arrangement of the roof for an amount of 120 thousand euros, also realized thanks to a non-repayable loan.
Internally the industrious hands of local artisans with the donations of many resident and non-resident devotees, had made a pleasant arrangement and a conservative restoration emanating, in its simplicity, light and harmony of forms.
In 2020, thanks to the intent expressed by the Committee of the church, regarding the urgent need to fix the external facades and to preserve the fresco of San Rocco and the original writings, the Parish of Cesuna was also interested which, with the parish priest Don Davide and the favorable opinion of the Pastoral Council, intervened with a request for a contribution submitted in 2021 to the Municipality of Roana.
Considered possible contribution, given that the initiative is attributable to horizontal subsidiarity since it is an activity carried out by a Committee and the Parish of Cesuna, the Municipality of Roana, considering the initiative commendable and worthy and also taking into account the fact that the small parish is also a meeting place for other meeting activities, has approved the granting of the contribution in the sum of € 18 thousand for the realization of what was requested.
The goal is to return an even more pleasant, inclusive and open place, in the hands of a community guided by solidarity and faith.
The works will begin in spring and will end by August 16, 2023, the anniversary of San Rocco, always celebrated in the small village of Treschè Cesuna.
