Thursday, August 25 at 17.00 at SelvArt - Parco Arte Natura di Mezzaselva, fraction of Roana (VI), will kick off the XII Edition of CUCUFESTIVAL. Inaugurates the international event dedicated to street theater the company Acqualta Teatro with the show "Equilibri". Free admission. In case of bad weather the show will take place at the Palazzetto di Mezzaselva.
The XII Edition of CUCUFESTIVAL officially kicks off on Thursday 25 August, an international event dedicated to Street Theatre promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Roana and organized by the Cultural Association Arci Carichi Sospesi with the collaboration of the Proloco of the six hamlets that make up the municipality located on the Asiago plateau in the province of Vicenza.
Until Sunday, August 28, the squares and streets of Roana, Mezzaselva, Cesuna, Canove, Treschè Conca, and Camporovere, will be transformed into a stage to host artists from all over the world who will enchant citizens and tourists with mime shows, theater, acrobatics, clowning, juggling and music.
To inaugurate the Festival will be the Italian company Acqualta Teatro with the traveling show "Equilibri",, dedicated to the indissoluble bond that binds man and Nature and that requires a perfect balance to survive, a give and take made of respect and harmony. It could therefore only take place at the SelvArt - Parco Arte Natura di Mezzaselva, a ring path in the woods that houses sculptures of natural art.
Guided by a Kobold of the Woods, a Crochet, viewers will meet Maga Libra, an expert in the art of Stone Balancing; Nib, the Guardian of the Tree-Poet, who invites you to linger and devote attention. The last meeting will be with the Nymph Bia, artist of Verticalism, who lives in hollow trees and plays with fallen trunks challenging precarious balances.
A musician, present during the entire show, will create the right atmosphere to enhance the natural theater of the Woods.
Free admission. In case of bad weather the show will take place at the Palazzetto di Mezzaselva.
