A SERIES OF MEETINGS HAS BEEN LAUNCHED TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE PHENOMENON OF ACTS OF INTIMIDATION AGAINST LOCAL ADMINISTRATORS PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 6 OF LAW NO. 105 OF 3 JULY 2017
The Municipality of Roana, in collaboration with the Gallio Comprehensive Institute, is pleased to announce a series of meetings dedicated to raising awareness of the phenomenon of intimidation aimed at local administrators, as provided for by Article 6 of Law No. 105 of 3 July 2017.
Violence, intimidation, bullying and discrimination are widespread phenomena that deeply undermine the social fabric and can take different but equally harmful forms, even within our local communities. It is essential to face these issues with determination and awareness, promoting a culture of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.
This initiative aims to promote social and constitutional values that are fundamental for the growth of young people, through meetings of high didactic and educational content, mainly aimed at secondary school students.
Below is the detailed program of the meetings:
- 27 February 2024, at the Teatro Palladio in Cesuna:
10:00 a.m. - Presentation of the program by the Municipal Administration.
10:15 a.m. - Speech by the Deputy Prefect of Vicenza, Dr. Renata Carletti, on the legislation governing acts of intimidation with an illustration of the projects promoted by the Prefecture.
11:15 a.m. - " The thrill of winning with loyalty without violence" by ACI President Dr. Luigi Battistolli, multiple European and Italian rally champion.
- March 12, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Palladio Theater in Cesuna " Aggressiveness, bullying and violence" by Luca Rigoldi, professional boxer and Italian Champion.
- March 27, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Palladio Theater in Cesuna " Running for a breath" by Rachele Somaschini, rally car driver and 2023 Women's Rally Champion.
- April 9, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Palladio Theater in Cesuna " Violence on nature and the mountain" by Romeo Covolo, naturalist and historical mountain guide. The photographer and storyteller Gigi Abriani and the writer Francesco Vidotto will also speak.
- April 30, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at the Palladio Theater in Cesuna " Love that hurts - Preventing gender-based violence, learning to love" by dr. Stefano Rossi, Psychopedagogist.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Roana, lawyer Elisabetta Magnabosco believes that "these meetings promise to be a unique opportunity to reflect and interact constructively on the issues of legality, respect and the fight against marginalization that leads to violence. In particular," the Mayor continues, "an important space will be dedicated to raising awareness of gender-based violence, bullying and intimidation, phenomena that require a constant and joint commitment by the whole of society to be effectively combated."
In addition to the students of our schools, the teaching staff and our administrators, the invitation was also extended to the Police Forces, the Mayors of the Plateau, the Mayor of Vicenza and the President of the province as well as other personalities involved in associations and the school world.
