TOURIST LINE SKIBUS FRACTIONS OF ROANA – MONTE VERENA AND BACK

It has been confirmed in these days by the Municipal Administration of Roana the establishment of a circular tourist line (ski bus) from the hamlets of the Municipality of Roana to the locality of Verena di Roana,a ski resort that has recently renovated its cableways placing itself as the most equipped station in the Province of Vicenza as regards the specialty of alpine skiing.

The idea is to establish a line that allows to reduce at least in part the private traffic,in a reductive perspective of CO2 emissions particularly present on weekends, in addition to a reduction in consumption of roads and parking lots that in the mountains already suffer a perishing action due to winter frost. It is believed that an eco-sustainable approach at least in access to the area can represent a responsible attitude of the Public Administration also in anticipation of new and more important tourist inflows due to the new hexaposed chairlift.

The establishment of an additional service to some lines already present is hoped to favor both the decongestion of vehicular traffic on roads already strongly tested by the commuter influx, and the reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere.

A similar project also wantsto encourage the use of public transport especially for hotel guests and thousands of residences in "second homes", composed mostly of tourists of proximity, as well as ensuring direct access from the various hamlets of the Municipality of Roana to a ski-area of value. It is assumed that the establishment of the line dedicated to skiing can have a favorable response from this type of user who would be guaranteed access to the area without the risk, especially during the weekends, of not being able to have access to the parking lots that already in the past were exhausted in the early hours of the morning.

The new experimental line will have a priority of operation, for now, during the Christmas holidays,with four arrivals and relative daily returns, with the first departure at 7.15 am from Treschè Conca. "Hubs"will be set up in every fraction of the Municipality of Roana where cars can converge to facilitate boarding the ski bus. Following this first experiment, the continuation of the service throughout the season, during weekends and holidays, will be evaluated.

Timetables, stops and prices will be communicated very soon to all tourist offices, hotels and agencies in the area, as well as on social channels and media.
