LIVE WEBCAM WITH A VIEW OF CAMPOROVERE - PLATEAU OF THE Seven Municipalities
This live webcam of Asiago.it is installed in Camporovere, oneof the six hamlets of the Municipality of Roana.
The camera, mounted in collaboration with the Municipality,is located at Casa Filippo Franceschi, and offers a beautiful view of the village,a delightful corner of paradise at 1057 m above sea level, immersed in the nature of the Plateau of the SevenMunicipalities,which is about 2.5 km from Asiago and Canove and 4 km from Roana.
Clearly visible in the center of the frame is the Church of San Giovanni Battista in the center of the village and in the foreground Via XIX Maggio that leads from Camporovere to Canove.
The webcam also takes up, on the left, the Interrupted Fort that rises on the homonymous mountain. It is a defensive fortress built in the late 1800s, used during The First World War mostly as a vantage point. Recently renovated and partially re-built, it is certainly worth a visit, also because, continuing from Forte Interrotto along the signposted path, you reach the Austro-Hungarian cemeteries of Mount Mósciagh.
Camporovere is one of the smallest countries of the Asiago Seven Municipalities Plateau, but its territory is rich in points of interest, such as the chasm of tanzerloch,toponym cimbro meaning "dance hole", because according to legend in this place witches came to dance. It is a cavity in the shape of an inverted funnel with a diameter of 40 meters and 80 meters deep, at the bottom of which opens a large "saloon" 110 meters wide.

Roana, Robaan or Rowaan in cimbro, is the most articulated of the municipalities ofthe Plateau of the Seven Municipalities. It consists, in fact, of 6 hamlets namely Camporovere, Canove, Cesuna, Mezzaselva, Roana and Tresché Conca - also called 6 Bell Towers because each hamlet has its own Parish Church.
The territory of Roana is therefore really very extensive: almost 8,000 hectares mostly covered by woods, fields, pastures and gentle slopes.
These are places located at anaverage altitude of 1000 meters above sea level,which makes Roana and its hamlets the ideal destination for a mid-mountain holiday,suitable for everyone. To characterize the territory pure air, unspoiled nature,vast views, mild climate, tranquility. But also ski resorts for downhill skiing and cross-country skiing centers for Nordic skiing, countless trails and paths for hiking and walking or cycling, ancient traditions and a lot of history.
The municipal territory is permeated, in fact, with testimonies of the Great War,whose events hit Roana and its hamlets heavily and tragically, as well as the whole Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.
