LIVE VIEW OF THE MELETTE: CENTRAL SLOPE AND BUSA FONDA CHAIRLIFT
This live webcam offers a real-time overview of the starting area of the ski lifts of the Le Melette Ski Area, one of the main areas for alpine skiing in the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities. Located in the territory of Gallio, at an altitude of 1,424 meters, during the winter it allows you to observe the conditions of the Central slope, the presence of snow and the activity in the lower part of the area; in the summer, however, it shows the green slopes of the Melette, a starting point for walks and excursions at high altitude.
On the right of the frame is the departure station of the modern detachable exaggerated chairlift Busa Fonda-Meletta, which reaches an altitude of 1,650 meters. Near the finish line is the Baita Relax & Gourmet, a bar and restaurant at high altitude ideal for a break between one descent and another or to enjoy a few moments of relaxation while admiring the mountain landscape. The hut is easily accessible even in summer, thanks to the opening of the chairlift, which also allows you to comfortably climb to the top and leave from here for pleasant walks.
Right in front of the webcam is the Centrale slope, one of the slopes of the Le Melette Ski Area. During the winter season it is possible to observe the snow conditions live, watch the skiers engaged along the slope and get an idea of the situation in the starting area of the lifts, before reaching the area.
The ski area extends between 1,400 and 1,750 meters above sea level and offers about 25 kilometers of slopes, with slopes suitable for both beginners and more experienced skiers . The area has a total of four ski lifts, a practice slope with treadmill, the Melette Ski School and an equipment rental service.
On the left side of the frame you can recognize the school field and the Sport & Gourmet Hut, located at the base of the facilities. The structure, completely renovated, offers bar and restaurant service and has a large and well-exposed sun terrace, ideal for relaxing in the sun and observing the activity on the slopes.
Also on the left you can see the road that continues towards Campomulo and towards the northern and north-eastern part of the plateau, characterized by extensive woods, pastures and numerous itineraries immersed in nature.
With the arrival of summer, the landscape changes completely: the Central slope gives way to a wide green slope and the area becomes a pleasant destination for walks and excursions in the mountains. The dirt road that crosses the frame allows you to walk to the Relax & Gourmet Hut with a walk of about three quarters of an hour. The route has a fair slope and is not suitable for strollers, but offers the opportunity to gradually climb in altitude and observe the panorama of the Melette from an increasingly wide perspective.
Thanks to this real-time webcam of Asiago.it, installed at the starting point of the downhill ski slopes of Le Melette, it is possible to check the weather in the area at any time, in winter observe the conditions of the central slope and check when the chairlift is open, and, during the summer, admire one of the most famous mountain scenery of Gallio, between ski lifts, huts, green slopes and hiking itineraries.
