META: Malghe di Conco - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
The huts represent tradition and are about to embark on the path of recognition as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
A full day of emotions, from dawn until evening among the huts.
It will be a day where the hiker enjoys the sun and being outdoors away from stress, in the woods and pastures admiring breathtaking views that range up to the Po Valley, the Euganean and Berici hills, arriving with his gaze to the Venice lagoon and the Apennines.
The guide, telling the historical and cultural evolution of the mountain huts of the plateau, will lead the hiker to know some malghesi with their stories and traditions, interpreting the landscape and will lead you on a journey through the history of this place, also telling the peculiarities of flowers and plants that live there. Along the way there will be stops and a tasting of mountain cheese.
During the excursion there is (not mandatory) lunch in a mountain hut overlooking the plain with the following menu:
– Homemade tagliatelle with meat sauce or alpine butter;
– Platter of fresh and aged cheeses of malga with sopressa; polenta and side dishes;
– dessert made in a mountain hut;
– water, wine, coffee and mountain liqueurs.

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads through meadows and pastures of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 600 m.
The excursion starts from the square of Conco and involves the passage on 4 huts along ancient communication routes; The start is scheduled at an altitude of 830 m, reaching the maximum altitude of 1,300 m above sea level.
TO BRING WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1.5 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat. Possible packed lunch - possibility of LUNCH IN MALGA (not mandatory). Comfortable shoes are recommended.
COST: 30 € per person for the guided hike and cheese tasting. 10 € for children under 15 years.
