THE PLEIADES

The choral group "the Pleiades", founded in 1984 by his teacher Melissa T., is definitely an atypical choral, as to be nicknamed "the Pleiades" Showchoir and Vocalist before then by the singers themselves.

Since its inception this group has worked to get closer and closer to the spirit and complexity even cultural American pop and jazz music, coming to play with voices songs created for instrumental groups or orchestras, then extremely rich in rhythms, harmonies, in the choices of timbre, sound bodies.

The current repertoire draws from the standards of jazz and Latin American music. The songs are mostly processed with its harmonization, so that music by musicians such as Desmond, Ellington, Gershwin, Jobim, Waller, forfeitures de "the Pleiades" become something truly original and unique. Musical spirit and originality of the group are made even with small coreografieda and joking she designed.

Awards received at international competitions, combined with the positive feedback from the audience and especially the pleasure of singing together, they stress the teacher license plate and all the choral group "the Pleiades" to continue on the path of research, not only in the context of the Repertoire and choreographic voices, but also in the presentation.

The Group has recorded 2 CDs, Shadow of Stars and Shadow of Stars II, and has more than 300 concerts in Italy and abroad.
