28th Italo-Austrian peace meeting in Asiago-from 3 to 5 May 2019

Meeting in remembrance of the fallen and the civilian casualties of the Great War

From 3 to 5 may 2019, At Asiago will be held the 28th Italo-Austrian peace meeting in remembrance of the Fallen and civilian casualties of the Great War.

Several collateral initiativeswill be organized, such as guided hikes, film screenings, theatrical performances and more, while on Sunday the official ceremony will be celebrated With Mass at the shrine, homage to the Fallen and concert.

Friday 3 May

  2) British Cemetery Barenthal and Lazzaretto
• hours 18.00 Council Chamber of Asiago City Hall: Presentation of the 28th meeting and the official pin
• ore 20.30 film "The Bombing of Sarajevo" at the Cinema Lux With German subtitles- beware! The projection was moved to the talking cricket.

Saturday, May 4

• hours 10.00 Cemeteries Val Magnaboschi in Cesuna di Roana: Crown deposition + reading excerpt from "The Dead firs of Mount Lemerle" (in Italian and German)
• hours 11.30 Piazzetta Beata Giovanna: Reading poem "La Madonna di Asiago" by Gyula Somogyvàry (in Italian and Hungarian)
• hours 16.00 Council Chamber of Asiago City Hall: official reception of Italian and foreign delegations
• hours 17.00 Park of Remembrance: Unveiling of the plaque-commemoration of the 28th meeting. Ceremony accompanied by the Asiago choir
• hours 19.00 Dinner at the Hotel Croce Bianca for delegations and guests
• hours 20.30 Teatro Millepini: Theatrical performance "The Dead firs of Monte Lemerle" with the small company. Free admission up to the availability of seats with compulsory reservation at the SIT by clicking the keys below

• hours 9.45 Parade departure to the military shrine. Alzabandiera with anthems Italy, Austria, Europe
• hours 10.15 Holy Mass in homage to all the civilian and military victims of the Great War
• 11.15 Hours Official speeches of the international authorities
• hours 11.45 Parade departure to the Lodge of the fallen and dissolution of the ceremony. The two bands conclude with a concert in Piazza II Risorgimento
• from 13.00 hours Piazzale degli Eroi: Convivial meeting for participants in the restaurant Wunderbar (price agreement €12.00 per person)

• 11:30 Hrs. Piazzetta Beata Giovanna di Asiago: Reading of the poem "La Madonna di Asiago" (Madonna of Asiago) by Gyula Somogyvàry in Italian and Hungarian.
• 16:00 Hrs. Town Hall of Asiago: official Welcome to Italian and foreign Delegations with delivery of a gift in memory of the city of Asiago.
• 17:00 Hrs. Park of Remembrance: unveiling of 28th Meeting Recognition Plate. The ceremony will be accompanied by Asiago Choir.
• 19:00 Hrs. Dinner for delegations and guests at cross Bianca Hotel.
• 20:30 Hrs. Millepini Theater: Theatrical representation "The dead firs of Mount Lemerle" by the small company. Free admittance subject to availability with reservation required at the SIT in Carli Square-Tel.
