Great cycling is back on the roads of the Asiago Plateau.

Sunday, July 3, 2022 appointment with the ^36th edition of the GIRO DEL MEDIO BRENTA, traditional international summer cycling race Class 1.2 Elite - Under 23 Open Prof. (open to amateur and professional riders of the Continental and Professional teams), which for over 30 years has fascinated cycling lovers and sportsmen in general.

Departure from Abbazia Pisani of Villa del Conte at 12:45 and climb and final circuit on the Asiago plateau with finish in Gallium at 16:00.

PROGRAM

The program confirms the morning meeting at the "Ballan spa" of Abbazia Pisani of Villa del Conte (8.30-12.45), the transfer of 3 km. with official departure at 1 pm from the center of Villa del Conte with a large local circuit of five laps (15 km) and a half to Busiago, Marsango-traffic light, Pieve di Curtarolo, Campo San Martino-traffic light, Paviola, San Giorgio in Bosco-traffic light, Villa del Conte, with various Flying Goals.

After the initial rounds you take the sp-ss 47 Valsugana to Cittadella at km. 91.4 (eight times finish line when returning to the plain) along the Cinta Murata as a transit Alta Padovana Tour-Grand Prix and to which is dedicated this year the photo-cover-poster in rotation of the race locations, Bassano del Grappa (bridge over the Brenta River), starting the spectacular ascent of the Asiago plateau along Marsan, Marostica-rotonda, Vallonara sp 71, Crosara, Bivio 4 Strade, Gomarolo-Fontanelle, Conco sp 72, Bocchetta Galgi, turn Bivio Sasso, Stoccareddo (GPM at the Church), Buso-ponte, Campanella sp 76, Sambugari, Valderonchi-Via IV Novembre and first passage under the central-finish line of Gallium.

We will face another 25 km lap (Rotonda Turcio, Sasso, Stoccareddo with a 2nd GPM, Campanella, Bivio-Sambugari and Gallio) for a total of 172 km and conclusion (depending on the average-hour and weather) at 16.30/17.

The Giro del Medio Brenta from the thirtieth anniversary of 2015 has set the arrival at high altitude with arrival in Gallium, previously always climbing the Plateau in multiple slopes and the fast descent into the plains.

It is valid for the International Grand Prix Città Murata Trophy at the 20th edition 2022, directed by Pierluigi Basso with the Veloce Club Tombolo (the other two tests the ferrara gp Sportivi of Poggiana-Riese Pio X and the twenty-year Alta Padovana Tour in autumn verification) and the Albo d'Oro is full of prestigious successes and podiums, including the winners of the Giro d'Italia Gilberto Simoni and Damiano Cunego, Giorgio Furlan (Milan-Sanremo and tricolor), Dario Bottaro, Fausto Masnada (vice-tricolor in charge and solitary in the gallium storm 2016 and today protagonist at the Belgian Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team), the 2018 victory of the Russian National Team with Alexander Evtushenko and other well-known professionals or future promises, confirming also in this^36th edition important Italian and foreign teams of category (club and national).

Last year there was the brilliant South American victory with Didier Merchan Cardona of the Colombian government team "Colombia Tierra de Atletas" with a formidable test in the rain.

The ex-pro and sports director, Flavio Miozzo has taken care of relations with the Municipal Administration of Gallium led by the mayor Emanuele Munari; the coordination at high altitude is taken care of by Valter Dal Pozzo di Canove di Roana, precious collaboration with the municipalities involved in the race, the Police, associations and volunteers, sponsors (including the historic starting point Ballan spa and Rigoni di Asiago).

The event includes important administrative-institutional patronages and there is strong expectation among the public with various groups and enthusiasts already organized in fixed and mobile locations in the crucial points of the plateau route.

Much expectation also for the "home" presence in the race of the former skater on blue and tricolor ice skater, class 2002 of Canove di Roana, Matteo Ambrosini in the Bergamo-Padua continental team Colpack Ballan, in his first year in the Great Cycling in the wake of the highland colleague of Enego Andrea Pasqualon class 88 of the Belgian team Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert and recent winner of the Circuit de Wallonie and next to the Tour de France.
