From 2 to 4 and from 9 to 11 September 2022, at the same time as Made in Malga '22: the national event of mountain cheeses, the 4th edition of the "MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL" will be held: the appointment with the mountain world seen through the eyes of cinema.
The "Mountain Film Festival Altopiano 7 Comuni" is an initiative wanted and organized by the volunteers of the halls of the Community of the Parish of Asiago with the media support of Made in Malga. In this edition the most awarded films will be proposed in the various international film festivals.

THE BICYCLE AND THE SHOVEL

On July 4, 1952, Hermann Buhl, who would later be the protagonist of the first ascents to Broad Peak and Nanga Parbat, accomplished a less famous but equally noteworthy feat. It is a Friday morning when he leaves Innsbruck by bike and will return on Sunday to be punctual at work on Monday. In the meantime he will have traveled 300 kilometers round trip to reach the base of the north-east face of Pizzo Badile that will climb alone. This documentary reconstructs its history by broadening the gaze to what the uncontaminated passion for the mountains means today
LUNANA- THE VILLAGE AT THE END OF THE WORLD

Ugyen is a young city teacher who dreams of leaving Bhutan to reach Australia and become a singer there. Meanwhile, however, given his poor performance, he is sent as a punishment to complete the task in Lunana a village with 56 souls that is 8 days walk and at a height of 4,800 meters. There it lacks any comfort. The school is nothing more than a room where you have to write on the wall because there is no blackboard. The children, however, are very affectionate and participatory enough to push him to get some teaching material from the city. Australia's dream will withstand an unexpected and warm community welcome.

THE STORY OF MARIO RIGONI STERN
A journey between present and past, full of testimonies and reflections to tell the story of the writer Mario Rigoni Stern (1921-2008). During an imaginary day, from dawn to starry night, his voice taken from a large archive, evokes the years of war and imprisonment. The Sergeant of the Alpini, returned home, has become over time the Guardian of the Asiago plateau, and his native land takes on the value of a world to be preserved against wars and indifference.
THE ALPINIST - A FREE SPIRIT

The directors followed for two years Marc-André Leclerc, a young Canadian mountaineer whose solo climbs without any aid except two ice crampons represented a substantial change in the way of mountaineering. A warning to those who have never heard of this daring climber: do not go looking for news about him on the Internet. You would deprive yourself of the progressive discovery of a unique personality as well as its exploits. Because Mortimer and Rosen have been able to patiently both reconstruct the past and follow the present of an athlete fundamentally anomalous in the world of mountaineering. Because for his climbs he always wanted to be really alone, without a mobile phone and without anyone to observe him.
