49th Edition, Festival concert with Asiago "grow in Orchestra Music". Music by Alissa Firsova, Stravinsky, Ives, Beethoven

Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 21.00 to Asiago will be held the third round of the 49th Edition of Festival Asiago.

For the occasion will be held a concert with "Orchestra Grow in music" will classical music by Alissa Firsova, Stravinsky, Ives and Beethoven.

Director: Gachanja.  Cello: Julius Berger and Claudio Pai.

  • B. Bartok (1881-1945): Romanian folk dances for orchestra, sz. 68
  • Alissa Firsova (1986): "Le Soleil de Conques" op. 33. Concerto for two cellos and string orchestra. Julius Berger, Claudio Paintsil solo cellos
  • Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971): Suite No. 1 and 2 for small orchestra
  • L. v. Beethoven (1770-1827): Symphony No. 1, op. 21 in c major

JULIUS BERGER

Born in 1954 to Augusta, he studied at the "Musikhochschule München" with Walter Reichhard and Fritz Kiskalt, then the "Mozarteum" in Salzburg with Antonio Janigro (from 1979 to 1982 he worked as his Assistant).
He continued his studies with Zara Nelsova (Cincinnati/USA) and also participates in a masterclass with Mstislav Rostropovitsch.

At the age of 28, he became Professor at the Musikhochschule Würzburg", being the youngest Professor of Germany.
He is currently Professor of cello and chamber music at the Leopold Mozart Zentrum "of the University of Augsburg.

From 1992 he regularly holds master classes at the "Internationalen Sommerakademie des MozarteumsSalzburg. His recordings of 6 suites of J.S. Bach are appreciated by critics and audiences, along with the unreleased concerts by Luigi Boccherini.

Dedicated to family leisure and artistic commitments in search of silence in the contemplation of the Alpine world.

Crescere in musica ThieneGROWING YOUTH ORCHESTRA IN MUSIC

The project "Grow in music", conceived and coordinated by prof. Paolo Dal Balcon, was born in 2008 from an initiative of the Liceo Classico Statale "f. Chandler" from Thiene with the aim of promoting, on the one hand, the practice and exercise of classical music among young people, to help integrate cultural musical training of students by involving them actively in carrying out a number of activities (master classes, concerts, conferences and lectures-concert , hearings) open to all citizens.

The program and the plan has been proposed and extended progressively to the major musical institutions of the territory and in later years became a significant music initiative and a reference point for the educational and cultural activities of the city. Starting from 2013 project network participating in the Conservatory "Pedrollo" in Vicenza, Veneto Music Institute, the cultural association "Ludus Musicae" and the Middle School Musical "Babu-Farid Thiene".

The orchestra "Grow in music" (CMO) held its season of concerts every year in Thiene in may, join for several years at the Festival "musica villas Castles" and "Asiagofestival".
