DESTINATION: Val Formica - Larch Area - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)
This evening snowshoe hike will take you to discover Val Formica: at nightfall we will be surrounded by a myriad of stars that will give us a mountain of emotions!
What to expect:
- Snowshoeing at sunset: walk on fresh snow, watching the sun set and tinting the mountain profiles with warm colors.
- Vast scenarios and evolving landscapes: discover the history and nature of Val Formica and the Larici area... from the Cimbri to the Great War, from the ermine to the fox...
- Observation of the night sky: discover scientific curiosities and extraordinary discoveries about stars, planets, satellites... The guide, a passionate amateur astronomer, will also not miss the opportunity to tell myths and legends related to the constellations of the winter skies and that have fascinated man since time immemorial...
- At the end, dinner is scheduled at the Larici da Alessio Refuge: end the experience with a warm dinner with friends, enjoying the typical dishes of the Plateau with the following menu:
- First course of your choice
- Mixed grilled meat with side dishes
- Tasting of homemade sweets
- coffee
- water and wine or soft drink included in reasonable quantities (beer not included)
Reservations are required.
📈DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route does not present any particular technical difficulties. The uphill elevation gain is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
The route may be subject to variations due to the presence - absence of ice / snow but the difficulty will remain unchanged.
🎒TO TAKE WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with hot water or tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, head torch (recommended with a fixed red light).
🫰COST: €20 for the guided snowshoe hike per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders.
Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person.
Participants will be offered a taste of local products.
In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).
🍽 COST OF THE DINNER: at Rifugio Larici da Alessio € 25 per person for the above menu to be paid directly at the refuge.
For children it is possible to arrange a menu for 15 € Option A: First course + drink + dessert - Option B: Chop + fried / Sausages + fried / Frankfurters + fried + drink + dessert. The cost of the dinner must be paid directly on site at the restaurant.
