From Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July 2022 Asiago will host the TRIVENETA GATHERING OF THE ALPINI.

Initially scheduled for 2020, on the occasion of the centenary of the first meeting of the Alpini made on the Ortigara in 1920, the meeting of the Triveneto grouping was postponed twice due to the pandemic.

Finally this year the event can take place and it will be really nice and exciting to see the black feathers on the Plateau after the great National Meeting of 2006.

Two will be the most significant moments:

• the pilgrimage to the top of Ortigara, symbol of the sacrifice and calvary of the Alpini where the "Veci" of 1920 wanted to place a severed column engraved with three words "Not to forget" in memory and warning for future generations;
• the tribute to all the Fallen with the parade that will end at the Shrine of Asiago, a symbol of honor and identity of homeland.

It will therefore be an event of great value and profound significance for everyone and in a particular way for the Alpini both on leave and in arms.

For the occasion, a large participation is expected, which is also estimated at 40/50,000 Alpini.

FRIDAY 8 JULY

Canove of Roana

2.00 pm Inauguration of the extension with new wing of the Museum of the Great War

Asiago

3.30 pm Honors to the National Labaro and the Banner of the city of Asiago

3.45 pm Flag raising Piazza Giovanni Carli

4.00 pm Parade from Piazza Giovanni Carli to the Leiten Shrine

5.00 pm Holy Mass in honor of the fallen of the Great War celebrated by the Vatican Secretary of State His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin. At the end of the Holy Mass, inauguration of the Alpine citadel and dissolution.

6.45 pm Palazzo del turismo Millepini di Asiago, presentation of the book: "Stories and images, Brief anthology of memories of the Great War on the Plateau".

SATURDAY 9 JULY

Asiago

06.30 am Departure of the authorities and banners from the square of the Ice Stadium to Mount Ortigara with authorized vehicles of the Sections of Asiago, Marostica, Verona and the Civil Protection.

From the square of the Ice Stadium, the Young People of the 3rd grouping, will retrace a part of the path of the Alpini of the first National Meeting, will leave with their own means up to Campo Magro and will reach on foot the Colonna Mozza altitude 2105.

From the square of the Ice Stadium, the sections of Asiago Marostica and Verona, in collaboration with the Alpine Guides Altopiano, will leave by their own means to Bivio Italia and will reach the Colonna Mozza on foot at an altitude of 2105.

Ortigara Car Hire

10.45 am Surrender of honors to the Labaro of the National Alpine Association, which enters the line-up, to the Banner of the Veneto Region, to the Banner of the Province of Vicenza and to the Gonfaloni of the Municipalities present

11.00 am Holy Mass on Mount Ortigara celebrated by the Bishop of Padua His Excellency Claudio Cipolla, by the Chaplain Don Rino Massella, by the Parish Priest of Enego Don Federico and Concelebrants

11.00 am Holy Mass at the Church of Lozze

12.00 Laying of a Crown at the Austrian Cippo, followed by deposition of the Crown at the tombstones of the Ten. Perrero and Cecchin (Sec. of Marostica). The celebrations will be broadcast live on television. At the end of the celebrations return to Asiago

9.00 pm Concert of Choirs and Fanfare of the various Municipalities of the Plateau

In collaboration with the Sections of Verona and Marostica, National Pilgrimage on Mount Ortigara

SUNDAY 10 JULY

09.45 am Surrender of honors to the Labaro of the National Alpine Association, enter the deployment the Banner of the Veneto Region, the Banner of the Province of Vicenza, the Banner of the Municipality of Asiago and the Gonfaloni of all the Municipalities present

To follow (about 10:30) - Start of the release. The veterans will be escorted by the Youth of the 3rd grouping

At the end - Passage of the "Stecca" between the Monte Ortigara Alpine Section and the Belluno Section in Piazza Giovanni Carli
