GOAL: Fort Campolongo- Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (VI)
Along a military road you reach the renovated Italian fortification: Forte Campolongo, protagonist of the first year of the Great War.
Located at 1720 meters, the austere building watches over the Astico Valley and the surrounding mountains.
A stop between the domes of the gunboats, will allow us to deepen what was the War of the Forts . Not to forget and feel even more grateful for the peace we enjoy today, with all the well-being that comes with it. The 360-degree panorama at night, in the moonlight, offers an exciting experience of rare beauty thanks to the few artificial lights and currents that keep the sky clear.
The return that crosses the coniferous forest then makes us immerse ourselves in the popular imagination of the Cimbrian culture .... and the moonlight will make the evening even more magical!

DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves, front battery possibly with red light.
COST: 15€ for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 10 per person.
In case there is not enough snow we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes.
COST OF DINNER AT RIFUGIO CAMPOLONGO: 25€ per person.

NB In case of snow parking is subject to charges.
It starts on foot from the meeting place.
