META: Campi del Mandriolo - Larch  Area - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)

This night snowshoe hike will take you to discover Val Formica and the Mandriolo Fields, illuminated by the magical light of the January Moon.

What to expect:

• Snowshoeing at sunset: Walk on fresh snow, admiring the alpine landscape tinged with warm colors.
• Moon Observation: Learn about scientific curiosities and legends related to January's Full Moon, known as the "Wolf Moon." Let yourself be enchanted by the glow that illuminates the snow and the landscape!
• Breathtaking views: Admire the vast views of the Campi del Mandriolo, a place steeped in history. 

For those who want, at the end, it is possible to stop for dinner at the Larici da Alessio Refuge: end the experience with a warm dinner with friends, enjoying the typical dishes of the Plateau with the following menu: 

• First course of your choice
• Mixed grilled meat with side dishes
• Tasting of homemade sweets
• coffee
• water and wine or soft drink included  in reasonable quantities (beer not included)

Reservations are required.

📈DIFFICULTY:  we assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging). The route does not present any particular technical difficulties. The uphill elevation gain is less than 260 m, there are no exposed sections.

The route may be subject to variations due to the presence - absence of ice / snow but the difficulty will remain unchanged.

🎒TO TAKE WITH YOU: waterproof mountain boots (No Moon Boot), layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, backpack with hot water or tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, hat, gloves, head torch (recommended with a fixed red light).

🫰COST: €20 for the guided snowshoe hike per person, €10 for children under 15 and season ticket holders. 

Snowshoes and poles rental: €10 per person. 

Participants will be offered a taste of local products. 

In the event that there is not enough snow, we will proceed on foot without the aid of snowshoes, there will be no price changes (rental excluded).

🍽 COST OF THE DINNER: at Rifugio Larici da Alessio € 25 per person for the above menu.

For children it is possible to arrange a menu for € 15 Option A: First course + drink + dessert - Option B: Chop + fried / Sausages + fried / Frankfurters + fried  + drink + dessert.  The cost of the dinner must be paid directly on site at the restaurant.
