Friday 29/3/2024 at 16:00
Snowshoeing at night
verena luna

Friday 29 March 2024 from 16.00 to 22.30

Destination: Cima Verena (2020 m) - Asiago Plateau 7 Municipalities

Snowshoeing we enter the fir and larch forest accompanied by the glow of the sun that sets behind the profiles of the surrounding mountains

We follow ancient military roads to the summit of Monte Verena (2020 m) from which you can enjoy an incredible 360-degree panorama that ranges from the Alps to the Po Valley , from sunset to the Moon!

The imposing Forte Verena, an Italian war work of the First World War, has dominated this peak for more than a hundred years. Its ruins take the visitor on a journey into the past that takes us back to the first days of the War and to explore various aspects that characterized the "War of the Forts".

In company, in the quiet of the mountains, we can therefore "not forget" and feel even more grateful for these times of peace, with the tranquility and well-being that derives from it and we enjoy today, snowshoeing in the magical atmosphere of winter with the moonlight reflecting on the snow.

At the top, to brighten our evening will also be the warm welcome of the Forte Verena Refuge which has a typical dinner in store for us (25€ per person to be paid on site):

  • Sopressa with homemade pickled vegetables
  • Dumplings in butter or broth
  • Baked ribs with side dishes
  • Dessert of the house
  • Water, 1/4 wine, coffee

At the end of the dinner we return to the cars with a downhill snowshoe hike that will make our evening even richer in emotions!
