On Saturday, June 1 , 2024 at Fort Corbin you will have the opportunity to have a rare and fascinating experience: a close encounter with birds of prey!
The event is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Volantia Corda Association, which has long been involved in education to disseminate issues related to the environment and its protection, the scientific study of local wildlife, the in-depth study of cultural and historical aspects related to the art of falconry and the subject of flight.
The proposed activity will alternate moments of didactics and approach to the theme of falconry with others of demonstration in which, guided and informed by a group of experts, you will witness the flight of birds of prey and also their fundamental interaction with the instructors.
All this will take place at Forte Corbin which, overlooking the Astico valley, is located in a magnificent geographical position to admire the flight of birds.
The instructors will be at your disposal to answer all your curiosities and to show you a fascinating world thanks to their great experience in many fields, such as ornithology, recovery and care of wild animals, flight dynamics, meteorology and the history of falconry.
For the success of the event, places are limited and participation is allowed only by reservation, by calling Fort Corbin (you can find the CONTACTS below).
Interested parties can choose whether to participate in the morning shift, from 10:00 to 12:00, or in the afternoon shift from 14:00 to 16:00.
The participation fee is € 10.00 for adults and € 6.00 for children aged 7 to 13 and includes both the experience with birds of prey and the visit of the fort, which will be possible throughout the day from 10.00 to 18.00.
