Guided naturalistic-historical excursion to discover alpe Cimbra with Asiago Guide
Saturday 7 August 2021 from 9.30 to 12.30
Destination: Alpe Cimbra
Those that for centuries have been peaceful border forests, here and dotted with clearings and huts, about a century ago were upset by grandiose fortification works. This is the story of states that no longer exist, of nations that, although allied, distrusted each other and employed numerous men and means to strengthen their borders with forts, casemates, observers and trenches. Walking through the pastures of the Plain of Vezzena we will see and understand this particular context, we will visit the Fort of Busa Verle trying to relive those days, fatal for the Empire and its people, in one of the most significant naturalistic contexts among the Cimbri Highlands.
