Cuddles in the heart of the Cason of Wonders educational farm, on the Asiago Plateau
On Sunday, September 6, 2020, the Municipality of Roana proposes"AnimaliAmo",an event in collaboration with the educational farm "The Cason of Wonders"in Treschè Conca di Roana.
The initiative was wanted by the Municipal Administration of Roana which aims to raise public awareness of the need to increase animal welfare,re-evaluating their important role in modern society and seeking the growth of empathy towards the world of zoology.
At the Cason della Wonders (educational farm certified by the Region) there is already this philosophy, which will be transmitted not only to children but to all those who want to approach the animals of the farm,in order to know them and to be able to interact with them.
Elisabeth Magnabosco, Mayor of the Municipality of Roana says:"I very much agree with Gandhi's phrase that he believes that "The civilization of a people is measured by the way they treat animals". The amendment approved by the New Zealand Parliament states that animals are "sentient beings", therefore endowed with the ability to experience positive or negative emotions, such as stress and pain, and that as such they are entitled to be protected or saved from situations of abuse, abandonment and physical or emotional violence.
The Cason is easily accessible in a 15-minute walk,thanks to the different directions placed in the parking lot near the Church of Treschè Conca,where you can leave the car and continue on foot following the number 1 route. The track is partially on a dirt road but easy and suitable for everyone and is also passable with the stroller.
Upon arriving at the farm, the participants will be divided into groups of twenty people and directed to four locations,each with different animals, including bees, horses, donkeys, rabbits, goats and sheep.
Each experience lasts 20 to 30 minutes and is rotating. The duration of"AnimaliAmo"is about 2 hours per shift.
Activities take place in two shifts,in the morning and afternoon. At the end of the experience guests can't stop any further, as it is not possible to picnic at the Cason.
Theevent is free but booking is mandatory at the IAT Roana in Treschè Conca; remember that theuse of the mask is still mandatory for adults and children 6 years and older and that you need to carry the disinfectant gelwith you.
