Guided tour on the occasion of the centenary of the battle of Ortigara, Asiago plateau-Sunday June 25, 2017
On the night of 24 and 25 June 1917 left theAnna Operation, code-named to describe the powerful Austrian intervention to resume their positions on monte Ortigara.
In those days you consume a useless slaughter, trying to withstand bombs, gas and flamethrowers. On these rugged mountains, consecrated by the blood of the two armies in battle, alpini, bersaglieri infantrymen, artillerymen, engineers and Kaiserjäger have written pages of heroic story that cannot be forgotten.
With the exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the Battle of Ortigara, Asiago Guide will take you to learn the landmarks of the great war in the Plateau territory. Will tell you about men, armaments, logistics and dynamics that here took place exactly 100 years ago.
The hike will be held Sunday, June 25, 2017.
