APERITIVO CON L'AUTORE Asiago 10 agosto 2026

On Monday, August 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the Palazzo del Turismo Millepini in Asiago will host a new appointment in the Aperitif with the Author by Brazzale review, with a meeting that will feature Daniele Zovi, Raffaella Calgaro and Claudio Ronco, three authors united by their attention to the territory, history and the relationship between man and the environment.

The first guest will be Daniele Zovi, naturalist, writer and former director of the State Forestry Corps, who will present his new book "Fra i rami. Stories, discoveries and reflections from a tree house" (ed. UTET) will be presented.

Starting from the dream, cultivated since childhood and finally realized, of building a tree house, Zovi accompanies the reader on a journey through the woods and pastures of the Asiago Plateau. From the top of its special position, it observes the succession of seasons, wild animals, trees and forest life, offering reflections on nature, time and the deep bond that unites man to the environment. A story that combines scientific dissemination, personal experience and wonder, inviting us to rediscover a curious and respectful look at the natural world.

Next to him will be Raffaella Calgaro, author of "We are no longer afraid. Stories of women and mountains" (ed. Marcianum Press). The volume gives voice to female figures who have remained on the margins of official history, collecting stories of women who have lived and built their own destiny in the Veneto mountains. Mothers, workers, artists, smugglers, nannies and rebels make up a mosaic of extraordinary existences, united by courage, resilience and the ability to face the difficulties of everyday life. A book that illuminates an often forgotten memory and restores the authentic face of the mountain through its protagonists.

The meeting will be completed by Claudio Ronco, who will present the novel "The enigma of Galen" (ed. Meta Liber). The story intertwines the thought of the great doctor of ancient Rome with the dramatic events of the Second World War. The protagonist, Marco, a young doctor who survived the concentration camps, returns to a Veneto devastated by the conflict bringing with him the oath to save every life and the last promise made to a friend. Between Opicina, Trieste and a mystery that has its roots in history, the novel proposes a reflection on the value of medical ethics, memory and individual responsibility.

The meeting will offer the public the opportunity to listen to three authors united by the ability to tell the territory, history and identity through different languages, giving life to a dialogue that will range from nature to memory, from historical fiction to stories of women and mountains.

Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
