On Wednesday 19 August 2026, at 17:30, Piazza Carli in Asiago will host a new appointment with the Aperitif with the author by Brazzale review, the protagonist of which will be Don Marco Pozza, who will present his book "Honey and onions", published by Edizioni San Paolo.
With this volume, Don Marco Pozza offers a profound and accessible reflection on the meaning of freedom, taking his cue from one of the most emblematic stories of the Bible: the journey of the people of Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land. It is an ancient story that becomes a metaphor for the human condition, suspended between the desire to change and the nostalgia for the security of the past.
The "onions" symbolically recall what is known and reassuring, even when it limits growth; "honey", on the other hand, represents the promise of a new life, which requires trust, courage and a willingness to set out on a journey. Through this evocative image, the author invites the reader to question their own choices and the authentic meaning of freedom.
With the direct and engaging language that distinguishes him, Fr. Marco Pozza also rereads the Ten Commandments as tools of orientation and not as simple prohibitions, offering a perspective capable of speaking both to believers and to those who are looking for an opportunity to reflect on daily life.
The meeting will be an opportunity to dialogue with the author on universal themes such as hope, change, responsibility and the desire to build a more authentic future, in an open confrontation between spirituality and life experience.
Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
In case of bad weather, the meeting will take place at the Palazzo del Turismo Millepini in Asiago.

About the author
Don Marco Pozza (Camposampiero, 1979) is a priest of the Diocese of Padua, writer and popularizer. Since 2014 he has been chaplain of the Due Palazzi prison in Padua, an experience that has profoundly influenced his human journey and his literary production, leading him to reflect on the themes of freedom, forgiveness, justice and hope.
Alongside his pastoral ministry, he has developed an intense publishing activity, establishing himself as one of the most original voices of Italian spiritual non-fiction.
Among his best-known works are The Embarrassment of God, The Ambush of God, The Voice to the Silences, Gospel Facts, Gods and Demons, up to the most recent The Honey and the Onions, published by Edizioni San Paolo, in which he proposes a current reinterpretation of the path of the Exodus and the meaning of freedom.
He is also known to the general public for his television conversations with Pope Francis, dedicated to the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Ten Commandments, broadcast by Rai and followed by millions of viewers.
Through books, meetings and public speeches he continues to promote an open dialogue between faith, culture and daily life, with a direct, ironic and profoundly human style.
