On Saturday 25 July 2026, at 17:30, the central stage of Piazza Carli in Asiago will hosta new appointment in the Aperitivo con l'Autore review by Brazzale with Fulvio Marino, baker, popularizer and television face much loved by the public, who will present his new book "All the world of bread. A journey through products, techniques and recipes" (Slow Food Editore) will be presented.
After the success of Tutta l'Italia del pane, Fulvio Marino broadens his gaze beyond national borders and accompanies readers on a fascinating journey to discover world bread-making. The volume is proposed as a real atlas of bread, capable of telling the traditions, ingredients, techniques and cultures that for centuries have been intertwined around one of the most universal foods in the history of humanity.
From Nordic rye-based breads, designed for long shelf life, to the soft steamed breads of the East; from unleavened flatbreads and loaves from the Middle East to African breads made with grains such as millet and teff; passing through challah and bagels of the Jewish tradition to Mexican tortillas, the book takes the reader on a journey through the five continents to discover over four hundred baked specialties.
Alongside the story of the different gastronomic traditions, Marino dedicates ample space to the basic techniques of home bread-making, illustrating methods, procedures and recipes designed to be successfully replicated even in the home oven.
A work that combines dissemination, food culture and daily practice, making the world of leavened products accessible to everyone.
A simple but significant reflection emerges in the book: bread is one of the foods that more than any other unites different peoples and cultures. Present in every corner of the planet, it tells stories of communities, traditions, exchanges and identities, becoming a universal symbol of sharing and meeting.
The meeting will be an opportunity to get to know the secrets of bread up close, discover curiosities from all over the world and dialogue with one of the authors who have most contributed to spreading the culture of leavened products among the general public.
Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.
In case of bad weather, the meeting will take place at the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Asiago.
