THE BOOK: LOBBY & LOGGE (ed. Rizzoli)

The occult domes that control "the System" and devour Italy

January 2021: Il Sistema, the disruptive book-confession in which Luca Palamara reveals to Alessandro Sallusti the unspeakable truth about currents and the division of power within the judiciary, arrives in bookstores. The book not only soon became the editorial and political case of the year; starts a chain reaction of resignations, appeals, sentences that only confirms the story of Palamara.January 2022: the former magistrate and the journalist face the mysteries of the "dark web" of the System, the dark web of lodges and lobbies that has always enveloped entrepreneurs, fixers, politicians, senior state officials, men of law enforcement and secret services, journalists and, of course, magistrates. Lodges and lobbies that decide whether to start or sink investigations and trials and that, as Sallusti writes, "use the judiciary and information to settle accounts, consume revenge, focus on otherwise unattainable objectives, do business and establish preparatory appointments to other and even greater utilities. To change, in fact, the natural and democratic course of things". Is there really the "Hungary lodge", of which members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, entrepreneurs, generals of Finance and the Carabinieri, leading politicians would be or would have been part? Why, when a multi-investigated and well-introduced fixer in too many prosecutors' offices reveals its existence during a deposition, that report ends up in a drawer for two years? Once again, the shocking revelations of Palamara and Sallusti unmask a parallel world torn apart within it by unspeakable interests, acting behind the scenes, on tracks of formal legality, and dangerously infiltrating the cracks of the judicial system.

Alessandro Sallusti

Journalist since 1981, he worked for "il Giornale"  by Indro Montanelli, then for "Il Messaggero",  "Avvenire" and for the "Corriere della Sera". He directed "Libero" and since 2010 he has been the editor-in-chief of the  "Giornale".

Luca Palamara

He was the youngest president of the National Association of Magistrates from 2008 to 2012. A professional member of the CSM from 2014 to 2018, in October 2020 he was removed from the judicial order following an inquiry into his role as mediator within the system of currents of the judiciary. He appealed against this decision.
