THE BOOK: THE STRANGE CRIME OF THE BEDIN SISTERS (ed. Newton Compton)

The first investigation of Gaetano Ravidà After the failure of his marriage, the lieutenant Gaetano Ravidà, highly esteemed investigator of the Arma, left Puglia and moved to the north. To welcome him the Carabinieri Station of Asiago, in the Vicenza plateau, theater of the bloodiest battles of the Great War. On the village, apparently quiet, the shadow of an old case never solved, dating back to seven years earlier, actually stretches: the brutal murder of the Bedin sisters, recently archived. Someone, covering the walls with enigmatic poems, however, seems to urge the reopening of investigations into a story that asks for justice. But it will not be only a case of chronicle of the past to test Ravidà's investigative skills. On the day of the Great Rogation, a procession that every year winds for thirty-three kilometers through the mountain paths and that involves the entire population of the area, another brutal crime will shake the quiet of the plateau, turning it into a storm. **An old crime never solved A murder that upsets the quiet of a mountain village They wrote about her novels:** "It rarely happens to come across a pen so decisive and lightning-fast, devoid of rhetoric and indulgence and at the same time rich in humanity, as is that of this author."
