The appointment, which is part of the cultural review "Aperitif with the Author", organized by the Giunti Library of Asiago, is at 17:30 in Piazza Italia or, in case of bad weather, at the Palasport Auditorium.

A great storyteller and expert of the natural world accompanies us on a walk in the woods to get to know them better and rediscover their enchantment.
Daniele Zovi returned to his woods, above the Asiago plateau, as soon as the relaxation of restrictions due to the pandemic allowed him to do so. After months in which he frequented nature only through the pages of books, he returned to look for the most incredible signs and manifestations precisely on the steps he took many times in the course of his life, but with his eyes and all the most open senses. It is on those well-known paths, which start from the meadows to enter the woods, that the reader follows him on a sentimental journey between personal memories and always new "discoveries". Following in his footsteps, we also learn to recognize the signs of nature, the traces of animals or changes in the air and we feel curiosity and wonder for the forest that begins to heal the wounds caused by the passage of the Vaia storm. We begin to perceive that patient way of feeling the time that is possible in this environment, experiencing firsthand that change to which every path leads.
Daniele Zovi
Daniele Zovi was born in 1952 in Roana and grew up in Vicenza. He graduated in Forestry Sciences in Padua and for forty years served in the State Forestry Corps, first as an officer and then as a manager. In 2017 he was appointed brigadier general of the Carabinieri-Forestry Command of Veneto and is one of the leading experts in the field of wild animals, author of several treatises on the subject. Other books published with Utet Alberi sapienti, antiche foreste (2018), Italia selvatica (2019) and In bosco (2021).
