Wednesday, August 3 , 2022, in Gallium, an interesting literary meeting awaits you with Paolo Gaspari who will present his  book "Arditi, alpini, bersaglieri and Sassari Brigade in the Battle of the Three Mountains on the Asiago Plateau on January 28-31, 1918" (Ed. Gaspari).

The appointment, which is part of the cultural review "Aperitif with the Author", organized by the Giunti Library of Asiago, is at 20:45 in the Council Chamber in Gallium.

The Battle of the Tre Monti has this characteristic: with it the Sassari brigade entered the myth because it was the first offensive battle won after Caporetto and the one in which the daring made their entry into history. This volume tells what the 8,000 Sardinians, the 3,500 daring, the 2,000 Alpine and the 5,000 bersaglieri did. It was in fact a battle fought on the Asiago Plateau by all the assault troops that the 1st army had at its disposal: for three days, in the middle of winter, over 1,200 meters above sea level, in the snow, to prevent the enemy from taking the army deployed on the Piave and Grappa behind.
