Aperitivo con l'Autore Sara Rattaro ad Asiago 26 agosto 2026

On Wednesday 26 August 2026, at 5:30 pm, the Aperitif with the author by Brazzale review will again stop in Piazza Carli in Asiago, where the public will be able to meet Sara Rattaro, one of the most beloved Italian authors of recent years, who will present her new novel "My mother's dress. Story of Teresa Mattei, antifascist", published by Piemme.

With this intense historical novel, Sara Rattaro brings to light the extraordinary story of Teresa Mattei, one of the protagonists of the Italian Resistance and the youngest woman elected to the Constituent Assembly

The narrative begins in Florence in 1938, when Teresa, just seventeen years old, openly challenges a professor in favor of racial laws. That gesture of courage cost her expulsion from all the institutions of the Kingdom, but it also marked the beginning of a path of rebellion and civil commitment destined to change her life.

Having become a partisan relay with the nom de guerre "Chicchi", Teresa faced the risks of the clandestine struggle by transporting hidden documents, distributing forbidden leaflets and contributing to the conquest of freedom.

Through intense and engaging writing, the author traces the decisive years of her training, transforming the biography of an extraordinary woman into a great novel dedicated to courage, freedom and fidelity to one's ideals.

The meeting will offer an opportunity to deepen a fundamental page of Italian history through the power of fiction and to dialogue with an author who has always placed female figures capable of leaving a deep mark at the center of her works.

Admission to the event is free, subject to availability.

In case of bad weather, the meeting will take place at the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Asiago.
