Art Tuesdays Roana: Giovanni Bellini, painter of light and color; the July 30

The second meeting devoted to "Tuesday of art", organized by Culture & music (sala s. Giustina di Roana, 30 July 17.30 hours) will be dedicated to Giovanni Bellini (Venice, 1516-1433), one of the most famous painters of the Renaissance Italian.

Also known by the name of Giambellino, is known to have ferried the Venetian painting from the Byzantine tradition to modernity, which will then end celebration by Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese. Its culture is inspired by one of the most important and fruitful of Venetian painting and sees this artist compete with major artists of his time such as Mantegna, Dürer or Antonello da Messina, carrying the latter of valuable technical innovations, such as oil painting or like Piero della Francesca on perspective, taken partly from the Venetian master.

The beautiful scenery, the sweet and tender expressions of the characters and the strong emotions expressed by his paintings are the guidelines of his painting that could be called, with a simple term but effective, painting "by nature".

Among his masterpieces, which you can see on the occasion of this meeting, you will find numerous charming versions of sacred conversations (Madonnas with Child), Christpictures, portraits, or big wheel as theFrari Triptych"or San Zaccaria altarpiece.
The meeting is held, as usual, by Prof. David Apolloni, and accompanied by live music.
The next Tuesday of art are scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, in s. Giustina at 17.30 and Tuesday, August 13, at 21.00 hours in parish church in Roana.
