In opening the concert, Elisa will, of List, the Sonnet 104 del Petrarca: the Sonnet 104 is part of the collection "year of pilgrimage in Italy", consisting of seven tracks that represents the lyrical and poetic journey of Liszt in Italy.
In this cycle the music becomes self-portrait poetic, manifestation of an inner life inspired by nature, literature, art and faith. The "Sonnet 104" in e major opens with a pathetic Recitative, but then buy an intensity and momentum cantabile, between different tones and with precise indications of execution (Vibrato-exalting-Languid-Sweet sorrow) in which there is all the soul lisztian piano. Here are the verses of the sonnet: "Peace I find, and I do not have to go to war; /And I fear and hope, and burn, and I am an ice; /And flight above heaven and Earth lie in; /And naught, and embrace all the world. /That hath in prison that I don't open nor ritien nor me nor its greenhouse/loosens the noose; /And I don't and I Love killing sferra,/nor would you live nor do I draw out. /See eyeless; and I have no tongue, and cry:/and I long to die, and parking aita; /And I hate myself, and love of others:/Pascomi of grief; crying laughing; /Also sorry about death and life. /This was son, female, vui ".

This little story, which will be followed by no 8 of Schumann: "As I was happy in recent days, young, light ... In the last three weeks I have composed a frightening amount of music, jokes, stories of Egmont, family scenes with parents, a wedding: so, as you can see, all things most desirable! I called all Novelletten........... "
This letter written to Clara Wieck Schumann, on 6 February 1838 in that tone playful and passionate collection that set him apart, reveals the mood from which sprang the eight Novelletten op. 21, one of the most mature and extraordinarily dense core choice pianism.
Love for Clara flushed Scarlet at that time stronger than ever, dictating to Schumann filled wonderful music. "The music was met in me"-he wrote; "I sang continuously while I was composing, and almost everything came out beautifully. Now I play with forms ".

The second part of the concert is dedicated to Chopin, and will begin with some of the Preludes of Chopin, collecting 24 piano works of Polish author, one for each musical key, is so major that minor. Although the term prelude is customarily used, within the Western tonal system to indicate a composition with the task to introduce another, longer and more complex, the 24 Preludes interpreters of Chopin can be performed and analyzed as works in their own right.
They were published in 1839 and are pieces of extreme variety: often short, single-issue people, are a kaleidoscope of characters, a collection of unpublished musical intuitions and aforistiche.

The study will be presented later op 10 No 9 of Chopin.  The intention of Chopin's Studies collections-perfectly made-was to achieve an ideal blend of virtuosity and poetic expressivity, between technique and art.
L figuration hard of which the pianist must seize repeats, subject to any variations, delivered in various shades so as to make it become iridescent to listening and at the same time allow the use of a range of tactics and techniques of the hand.
In particular, the study ranked 9 is characterized by the presence of a sad and nostalgic theme that is accompanied by the quivering lower boil; one reason questioner felled notes takes shape in the Centre and for a moment stops the anxiety of the main theme that finally back in the shooting section expanded by a sweet sentence.

End the concert the beautiful Sonata by Chopin: composed in 1837-1839, was published in 1840.
This sonata is a poem about death, as a way of nowhere and inelurrabile.
From this deeply pessimistic sense of the entire sonata, resting with his four movements per pillar of the funeral March, Hazel's emotional poem, written two years earlier.
The Central melody of this movement is not enough to be consoling counteract the dominant climate, sealed by the enthralling power and desperate of ghostly conclusion, I leave annihilated the contemporaries and still is bewildering and impressive.

As always admission is free, and the concert will be followed by light refreshments
