Artemusica Culture-Concert violinist Domenico Nordio-music by Bach, Fazil Say, Reger

The Association "Artemusica culture" of Roana proposes, on the evening of Thursday, 17 July at 21.00 hours, an important appointment with an extraordinary concert violinist, Domenico Nordio, an internationally renowned musician, that will give us his great talent by performing music by Bach, Fazil Say, Reger.

The concert will be held at the Cinema Teatro Palladium in Cesuna.

DOMENICO NORDIO is one of the most acclaimed musicians of our time. He performed in the world's most prestigious halls (Carnegie Hall in New York, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Barbican Center in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo), with major orchestras, including the London Symphony, the National de France, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestra Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic, Enescu Caracas, Simon Bolivar, la Nazionale della RAI, the SWR Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart, the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, with conductors such as Flor, Steinberg, Casadesus, Luisi, Lazarev, Aykal. Domenico Nordio is an artist with Sony Classical.   His last CD include Respighi and Dallapiccola with Muhai Tang and the Filarmonica Toscanini of Parma (released internationally in March 2013), Castelnuovo Tedesco and box with the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland and Tito Caruana (released internationally in January 2015), Busoni and Malipiero with the Orchestra Verdi of Milan and Tito Carter (to be released in 2017).

Pupil of Corrado Romano and Michèle Auclair, born in Venice in 1971, former child prodigy (she held her first recital in ten years), Domenico Nordio won at sixteen the International Viotti Competition in Vercelli with the legendary Yehudy Menuhin, President of the jury. After the statements of the Paris competitions Thibaud Sigall Viña del Mar and Francescatti of Marseilles, the Grand Prix of Eurovision in 1988 launched him to international career: Nagy is the only Italian winner in the competition's history.
