The work was developed during an artist residency in Roana, inspired by the famous ballet "Giselle", in the contemporary version of the Swedish choreographer Mats Ek.
The interpretation of this famous choreographer focuses on humans, digging into their thoughts and feelings, analyzing their psychological characteristics, their behavior, their way of relating.
The show will be presented by Artemusica Culture is the result of a thorough analysis of this choreography and an intensive work of creative and technical study by the dancers, where the process of improvisation is shared by all participants.

Probably the most romantic Ballet Giselle is represented in every age: staged for the first time on 28 June 1841 in Paris, to music by Adolphe Adam, would be represented in the major theaters of the world nonstop and still played by every dancer who aspires to enter the Olympus of dance.
Born from a story by Théophile Gautier, a great French literature, the story is inspired by the Central European legend of the Wilis, ghosts of young death before marriage. These beings of the forest, dressed in their wedding dresses, dancing in the Moonlight by dragging the young traitors in a convulsive dance up to bring them to death.
"Giselle" remained in its original form in the Repertoire of the Opéra until 1868. Was Marius Petipa, reinvigorating the choreography to adapt it to the great Russian tradition. A great merit of the renewed success of the Ballet had, moreover, the production of the Ballets Russes of Diaghilev in the early decades of the ' 900.

In 1982, the Swedish choreographer Mats Ek signing a very personal version of Giselle, in which the protagonist, after discovering the betrayal of what she thought to be her husband, does not die, but goes crazy.
Revolutionary, then, in particular, the second Act, which is not set in an enchanted forest, as in Giselle, but in an asylum, and is populated not by nocturnal creatures and feverish in tutus, but of in-patients enveloped in white shrouds.

The teachers and choreographers g. Garzotto, s. Mocellin, m. Negro are part of the innovative teachers network NOLIMIT-A-C-TION, which carry out educational projects and performative in collaboration with Bassano Opera Estate and CSC, Center for contemporary scene.
The dancers engaged in the show regularly attend these workshops and perform often in performances of contemporary dance in an artistic dimension in which the art of dance comes close to other forms of expression, and leads them to inhabit alternative sites to the stage.
