Artemusica culture-"music ..."-Concerto for soprano and piano with Hennie van Niekerk, soprano-Richard G, piano. Music by Schumann, Offenbach, Satie, Poulenc
Two exceptional musicians, Christine Van der Merwe (soprano) and Richard G (piano), will be the protagonists of the concert Artemusica Culture organizes in the Council Chamber in Canove Wednesday 8 September at 21.00 hours.
The two artists will perform in an extraordinary concert that will take us back back through the years and we will think of the fairy tales we listened, but this time set to music by great composers such as Schumann, Offenbach, Satie, Poulenc.
May appear obvious to speak of "fantastic" in music, since even the art of sounds, as well as the other sisters, is peculiarly associated with fantasy as inspiration. But in this case the text is explicitly to be influenced by the fantasy world; We will hear stories and tales from the arguments largely recognizable as belonging to the childhood of each: places already visited, characters already known or sometimes even new situations fostered by the encounter with other traditions.
Fairy tales with a moral of Aesop and Phaedrus, borrowed from the ancient Latin and Greek society and translated from La Fontaine, in episodes freely strokes and processed by most known "Puss in boots", "Alice in Wonderland," "Peter Pan", the anthropomorphic symbolism of animals, combined with typically human vices and virtues, to paraphrase of the King and his loyal big flea inspired by a scene of Goethe's Faust.
The partnership between the two musicians was born permanently by the intention to merge and enrich personal background experiences, gained from a long and significant activity
concerts both in Italy and abroad; the common predilection for vocal music-roomed apartment is a reference which translates into specific choices of repertoire, dedicated
exclusively to large production international Lieder, including the namedfor folk tradition, ranging from 700 to 900 ' historical '.
Already individually awarded in national and international competitions ("Agora" city of Rome, Pisa, Stresa, Concours National de France) and specialized in voice and piano courses and Master Classes with g. Souzay aLussemburgo ("Lied et Melodíe Française"), with e. Dara in Turin ("the art of staying on stage") and the musical workshop in Milan with m. Carnelli ("the piano in the vocal chamber music") , and with a. Juvarra and a. Corbelli at the "Amici della Musica" in Florence, the
two musicians play an artistic activity that brought them to perform, guests of major Festivals and musical associations ("Dino Ciani", Piemonte in Musica, Andora, musical Summer Festival Mistà, Amici della Musica, Circolo degli Artisti, Ars Nova, Teatro Alfieri in Turin, Auditorium Orpheus – Torino, Festival Antidogma Musica "," International Association "Artemusica"-Roana), with rich and diverse programs, dedicated to the various aspects of vocalization European and non-European Chamber music playing in Turin, Cuneo, Novara, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Ancona, Sassari, Aosta, Rovigo, Perugia, San Remo.
The Duo scored, among others, the 2nd Prize (1° unassigned) and special prize at the international contest "Golden Palm" from Finale Ligure and the 1° prize at the International Music Competition "Caffa Righetti in Cortemilia."
In 2001 he studied with Irwin Gage and Esther de Bros in a Lieder Interpretation Master Class held in Florence. In 2008 he has been invited to perform at the State Conservatory in Lima (Peru).
For several years he collaborated with different Ensembles in the realization of events focusing on modern and contemporary music (monograph "homage to Frank Zappa", "the piano Chamber music of the late twentieth century", etc)
Cristina Villani is currently a Professor of singing at the civic musical Institute "a. Vivaldi" di Busca (Cn) and vocal preparation of some choral groups, including the chorus of the high school of Cuneo, who heads.
Richard g's teacher at the Conservatory "g. Verdi" in Turin and holds courses in piano and ensemble music at the Music Institute of Borgo San Dalmazzo
(Cn).
