Artemusica culture-opening of Summer 2018-lyrical concert "from Italy to France"- Pierluigi Piran, piano- Silvia Castro, soprano. Music by Puccini, Rossini, Gounod, Tosti, Massenet, Mascagni

Fourteen years of music and culture in the municipality of Roana, the mark of the best talent in the national and international scene: this, in short, the centerpiece of the new edition of the summer concert season of the Association Artemusica culture. The opening concert is entrusted to Pierluigi Piran, piano, and Silvia Castro, soprano, will take place on Monday 23 July at 21.00 in the Sala s. Giustina di Roana.

The concert will offer famous Arias for soprano Italian and French opera repertoire, taken from the protagonists of Opera told by voice and piano music. The program will develop through the Bel Canto repertoire, including Puccini's verismo Opera French, until, with a rightful homage to Rossini for the 150th anniversary of his death.  The piano will accompany and will propose to turn famous instrumental pages.

Pierluigi Piran:
Graduated with highest honors from the Conservatory "b. Marcello" in Venice with M° Giorgio Agazzi. It also gets the second level academic Diploma at the Conservatory "a. Pedrollo" in Vicenza, always with the highest honors, studying with Maestro Antonio Tessoni. He studied for five years with the great pianist Fausto Zadra. He graduated with honors in Chamber music at the Academy of Imola with Pier Narciso Masi.

He won important national and international competitions

Gives concerts in important Italian theatres such as: Sale Apollinee del Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Teatro Comunale di Vicenza, Teatro Dal Verme in Milan, Palazzo Firenze Roma, Greek Theatre in Taormina, Auditorium San Filippo Neri di Bologna, the MART in Rovereto, Teatro Remondini of Bassano del Grappa, Palazzo Chigi Saracens of Siena, Masini Theatre in Faenza, Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto frescoes, Salone di Milano, etc.

Performs abroad in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Switzerland, Argentina, Belgium.

He studied conducting with Maestro Giancarlo Andretta

He is a founding member and Director of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra GOM.

Silvia Casanova:
Began his musical studies at the Conservatory Pollini of Padua, and later with great masters like Alida Ferrarini, Gianfranco Cecchele, Elisabeth Andreani, Daniela Dessì and Elizabeth Tandura.

He toured Italy and abroad: Canada, China, France, Poland, England, Austria, Germany, Italy and repertoire roles debut abroad. Is directed by Tiziano Severini, Antonello Allemandi, Jamalain Hämäläinen, Gianpaolo Bisanti, Stefan Schreiber, Filippo Maria Bressan, Carlos Spierer, Giancarlo De Lorenzo ... collaborating with regie by Denis Krief, Stephen Parker, Julius Ciabatti, Dieter Kaegi, Kob, Ulisse Santicchi, Stefano Grandi, Fabrizio Mags ...

He devoted himself to Chamber music, recording for the American label Titanic Records the Debussy Chansons de Jeunesse accompanied by pianist Lucas Wong. Debuted also in the Italian premiere of contemporary opera composer Pierangelo Valtinoni in the wizard of Oz starring role of Dorothy. Most recently, he curated a series titled small review dedicated to Classical concerts to corporate objectives.
