The Asiago Choir performs in the evocative context of the Interrupted Fort
On the evening of Monday, August 2, 2021,the Asiago Film Festival offers an exciting concert: the Asiago Choir will perform in the spectacular setting of the Interrupted Fort.
The performance of the beloved Highland choir will begin at 8:45 pm.
The beautiful singing of the Asiago Choir will accompany you on a journey to discover the folk songs of tradition, in an evening of the most beautiful mountain music.

ASIAGO CHOIR
The "Asiago Choir" was founded in 1952 by a group of friends who were part of the parish "schola cantorum", who decided to meet together to learn the songs of the S.A.T. of Trento, animated by the passion for the mountains and for singing, supported by the friendship that had been created between them.
It debuted on August 16, 1952 in Asiago on the stage of the forecourt of the "Prunno", under the name of "Gruppo Corale Asiago".
Many years have passed since then and the Asiago Choir has gained a leading role not only in the cultural panorama of the Plateau, but also in the Veneto Region.
In his early years he proposed the songs of tradition and the Great War; all this not as a kind of re-enactment for its own sake, but with the intention of proposing "true" stories, pages of lived life, in order to reflect on human mistakes and the futility of violence.
Over time, the Asiago Choir has expanded its repertoire, turning its attention also to other aspects of popular singing, to what is called the "new chorality", seen as a possibility to enrich its cultural baggage and thus also propose other types of musicality.
Currently the Choir consists of elements that come from various municipalities of the Plateau; this allowed it to grow, numerically and technically, taking on a district dimension never known before.
ASIAGO FILM FESTIVAL
TheAsiago Film Festival has as its main objective to propose the best Italian and foreign naturalistic films and documentaries and to contribute to film education through exhibitions and social events related to environmental protection.
The Festival is also aimed at promoting the city of Asiago and the beauties of the whole Territory of The Altopianese,through the deepening of the themes related to its history and traditions.
The Asiago International Film Festival APS was established in 2020 as a non-profit association for social promotion, inspired by these principles and the love for cinema.
