Thursday, August 3, 2017, Piazza Italy in Gallium, there will be another interesting event of the summer festival AUTHORS IN PIAZZA, organized in collaboration with the library Laws and dreams of Abano Terme.
The meeting will begin at 17.30. To present her new book this time will be Flavio Villani: the author will talk about his yellow "father's name", revealing the background to the work of writer and intriguing curiosity about his story.
For fans of the genre, but also for those who want to spend an afternoon full of culture, this is a date to mark on your calendar!
THE NAME OF THE FATHER
Milan, 1972. Piazza Duca D'Aosta, in the dog days of August, it's so empty to remember a De Chirico landscape when the central station is found in luggage, inside a suitcase, his body torn to pieces by a woman. To investigate the murder is called the young Assistant Inspector Gerard Casey, at his first investigation and eager to impress their superiors. The case, however, it soon becomes difficult solution: the scorching heat has anticipated the decomposition process, making it impossible to identify the body. The only clue to the identity of the victim is a small Orthodox cross found on the bottom of the suitcase, which might suggest to a woman of Slavic origin. Mr N and Farmer from Vice that woman certainly is a prostitute and the crime has all the hallmarks of an example, opera indeed by some particularly heinous pimp. The hypothesis appears more realistic before the disappearance of a popular ringtone in the environment, for whose murder is accused Toto Sabrina, a pimp, in fact, known to the police station for his criminal record anything but immaculate. Although the Commissioner Vicedomini suggests another track, based on the similarity between the murder of the woman in the suitcase and some brutal crimes committed in the mid-1940s by a serial murderer imaginatively christened by the press, the case remains unsolved Demaciado butcher and handed over to the dusty archives of the crime. And only with the arrival, years later, of the determined viceispettrice Valeria Salemi that Rocco Cavallo, the «Horse» Commissioner disenchanted with life, but always animated by an intense desire for Justice, will decide to reopen the investigation, this time more than ever determined to find the real culprit of a murder that for 30 years has brought in as an obsession. Flavio Villani plays on different levels and sources be delivered into a mood in which the yellow irresolution of the past comes back to haunt the present.

Flavio Villani is a physician with a passion for creative writing.
Published in 2007 a short collection of poems entitled "sieges of nothingness" (publishers of the plague), while his first novel, published for the Publisher Laurana, is entitled "the order of Babel".
