So you open the epic of Fabro, simple man and strong, able to get up and start over despite the blows that life does not spare.
Fabro was born in a stable at the foot of the mountains one morning in November 1925, warmed from the hay and the breath of four cows, because "there are things that, if you're poor, never change." Serena spent his childhood in the Woods and the peaks of the Dolomites and in elementary school he meets Rina, a shy little girl with a smile that only he can turn a smile capable of heating the coldest winters.
Life goes on, gives and takes away, generous and ruthlessly, until Fabian discovers the music.
He was hidden in an old pump organ in the Church of Tai di Cadore. The melody that comes buzzing by the tool is the breath of the forest, the wind that shakes the branches, and the pervading charm.
Then came the war and Fabro must leave home to go to the shop in Cibiana, the mythical country of the keys. Here is initiated to the secrets of an ancient craft. FRANCIS VAN COLLER
Francis van Coller is a Italian writer much appreciated. She began writing at the age of 16 years, prodded by Pupi Avati and Mauro Corona. Lives in Pieve di Cadore, near Belluno, at the foot of Mount Antelao in the Dolomites.
Graduated in economics at the Università Ca ' Foscari Venezia in 2002, it was later dedicated to the world of writing, publishing the following books: the savage, Signore delle Cime, Siro, Zoe, Ocean and Fabro.
