Friendly travelers Keep appointments with the best of Gospel music on theAsiago plateau. The January 2, 2017, will be the Friendly Travelers to welcome the new year with a Gospel Concert really exciting.

At 21.00 hours, at the parish church of in Treschè basin of Roana (via Chiesa), American training will bring the unmistakable sound of New Orleans plateau, in a concert that will delight the audience with Traditional Gospel songs and sound Soul, R & B and Jazz.

Through the charge and energy of their voices, everyone present will feel part of one big family, sharing the values of brotherhood, peace and generosity typical of Gospel music.

The concert is admission free.

The Friendly Travelers are a historical gospel group of great international success, coming from Louisiana (USA) and founded in 1959 by the Rev. Clint Jones.

The group performs with great ability and emphasis is in the style "a cappella", which accompanied by a powerful and dynamic instrumental rhythmsection. Our artistic heritage left by the founder is still tangible, for over forty years after their Foundation, in spirit, in the vision and creativity of the group.

The Friendly Travelers continue their journey of artistic/spiritual started Rev. Clinton Jones, compensating for this absence (as they tend to explain) through the guidance and inspiration of the divine spirit "continuing unabated to spread the message of peace and love in many countries worldwide.
In ' 78 are the first Gospel group to record for the prestigious Malaco Records, engagement that allows him to perform alongside great stars like Gladys Night and Mighty Clouds Of Joy. From here started their ascent with an intense concert activity in the State of Louisiana which soon expands in festivals and in churches of America and Europe.

Appear in prestigious billboards as the legendary New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (from which they receive in 1990 a "Contribution Gospel Award" for their great efforts in spreading the genre), the famous European festivals of Ascona and Nantes, and House of Blues in New Orleans.
Participate in more international events dedicated to the African American religious music, in 1991, the Black Heritage Festival will earn "Big Easy Music Award".

Gospel of the American Baptist churches in the circuit are among the most popular and appreciated reality profuse energy in spreading the music of the "good news".
Even today, their commitment is divided among numerous social and religious activities in favor of the local parish community (which is the moment of maximum expression in the Group's participation in Sunday mass) and an established professional commitment that leads them to perform frequently out of town, to the most important musical events.

Sharing the stage with artists and internationally renowned gospel groups including: The Blind Boys of Alabama, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Salem Travelers, William Brothers and soul bands such as Temptation, the Rev. Al Green and The Staple Singers to name a few.
The remarkable success achieved in the United States prompted us to seek further success and fame in Europe. In this area have applauded France Italy Germany tour, Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia,, where they wowed the audience with the charge and the warmth of their music, collecting plaudits even from the press.

Their show, deeply gospel, also incorporates veins soul, outlining an electrifying sound that generates and emits a strong emotional charge, which involves and drags viewers less accustomed to listening to this musical genre.

Returning to Italy with a new musical project, a group of six elements that add to the extraordinary vocal talents a powerful rhythm section (drums, bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar).
A concert of great class but also of considerable intensity, where you can listen to the traditional gospel with soul & R & B songs and jazzy hues that bring the atmosphere of the great classics by Louis Armstrong as " What a Wonderful World".
