Guided Excursion in the Places of Tradition "CALA' OF SASSO: the ancient communication route" with Asiago Plateau Guides, Mountain Professionals
Calà del Sasso and its 4444 steps were built in the late 1300s as a communication route for timber transport to the village of Valstagna.
From here the timber was transported along the Brenta canal to Venice.
EXCURSION SCHEDULE:
Meeting and departure scheduled for 8.30 am at the Bar of the Old Asiago Station or at 9.30 from Valstagna to the starting point of the route of the Calà del Sasso
Difficulty (look at the description at the bottom of the page): IMPEGNATIVA for the difference in altitude
Elevation: 700m D- and 700m D-
Moving: by way right up to Valstagna
