Guided historical-naturalistic snowshoeing
META: Mount Longara - Plateau of Asiago and the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Pope WOJTYLA, during a helicopter ride, wanted to stop in these alpine pastures to contemplate our mountains and our history, immersed in the peace of these places.
Snowshoeing will be the real opportunity to enjoy views of rare beauty, listen to the sounds of the woods, to know what a Malga really is, but also to learn about the history of these places that witnessed helplessly the cruel clashes between armies during the Great War. The whiteness of the snow will make everything more suggestive, cloaking the plateau with a light and an atmosphere that only from the Longara you can enjoy.

Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
In case there is no snow it will be a guided walk.

DIFFICULTY : We assigna difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The path is ring, does not present particular technical difficulties and there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain trails and dirt roads. The uphill difference is less than 300 m, the length does not exceed 7 km.

TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves.

COST:15€, for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years old.
Possible rental of snowshoes and sticks: 10€ per person.

MEETING POINT: at 9.30 am at piazzale degli Eroi 1, 36012 Asiago (VI) (c/o Asiago Shrine).
Movement by own vehicle on paved road.
