CERAMIC FESTIVAL in Cesuna di Roana-July-August 2018

Workshops and ceramics on display at the library "Mario Rigoni Stern" by Cesuna di Roana, from 14 July to 5 August 2018

In the month of July 2018, at the grounds of the Library "Mario Rigoni Stern" by Cesuna di Roana, will start the CERAMIC FESTIVAL, a series of events dedicated to the world ofcraft ceramics.

Starting from July 14, will be dedicated 3 appointments to teenagers and adults, who will learn the art of handling of clay by participating in interesting workshops dedicated to be held from 15.00 to 18.30 in outdoor areas of the library.

During the workshops, you will learn how to create beautiful and cute ceramic artifacts, like the traditional Highland cuchi , whistles from various shapes which, according to the customs of the place, donated as a pledge of love or friendship.

All pieces made during the workshops will be put to dry and then be cooked in ovens at the Museum of Cuchi on 4 and 5 August.

Saturday 4 August, in fact, will be devoted to the manufacture of kilns, involving some willing participants: talking will be constructed one in fiber and one of bottles.
During the day, there will be numerous food stalls of pottery and various ceramic artists from Veneto, including Novesi and the Bochaleri Association Group of Venice, besides the Terracottai by Montelupo Fiornetino with their pitchers made in chambers.

Sunday, August 5, at the conclusion of the event, will open the bottles.
