Circus and juggling show to Roana Caravan Santorini, Sunday July 29, 2012
The 'Culture & Music Association arranges for Sunday July 29, 2012 a spectacle of the circus and juggling of "Caravan Santorini".
This project of open air circus was desired and created by five young people of different nationalities (Costa Rica, Poland, France, Austria, Italy) who meet inside of "Flic-circus school", where he studied alongside acrobatics, dance, circus actor, in addition to the specific disciplines of circus arts: scale, roue cyr, sphere, Chinese pole and portées.
They therefore be United by a shared passion: bring your own work in small communities, so that the artistic research is integrated with the local population and that is born from the exchange between artists, people and places.
The places is therefore reserved a role of great importance: not just frame and setting, more or less random, performances of juggling and circus arts, but real scenarios which adapt the shows themselves: the trees do not serve only to make shade, but also to carry out stunts, attach the Chinese pole or the trapezium; a building becomes the coupling point, a step can be an interesting challenge for the unicycle ...
At the end of the show the artists of "Caravan" Santorini "will pass between the public and
will present the usual "hat", not just a form of raising money, but an ancient and evocative gesture, capable to revive another aspect of the ancient art of street performers.
The appointment, with free admission, is for hours 16.30 in piazza Santa Giustina to Roana.
In case of bad weather the event will take place at the big top.
