The meeting will be moderated by Daniele Zovi.

All proceeds from the sale of the books will go to the IRRIV Foundation
to support research against kidney disease.

Those who have lived in the mountains know well that a rock wall rather than a fir forest are, as reported by the author of the book, sound mirrors of the soul. The sensations and suggestions enter you and you never know if they are the result of an impromptu fantasy or if they come from vibrations that persist in the air for years or centuries and in some cases even come from deep space.

Sitting in winter on a snowy slope it is easy to see fragments of snow and ice that break away from the crust and begin to roll. If the snow is fresh, the rolling snowball swells and engulfs new snow, sometimes becoming an avalanche. The mind of man in the presence of nature is a kind of snowball that rolls and as thoughts emerge from the unconscious, the horizon widens and the mind wanders endlessly in unlimited spaces and in fragments of indefinite time.

Claudio Ronco,sophisticated and rigorous scientist, but also a simple and instinctive mountain man, uses the metaphor of the echo as a unifying element of events and stories, perhaps the result of fantasy, or perhaps the result of ancestral memories that time and mountains bring to mind.
